Identifying the root cause of errors, is at the heart of what we call operational intelligence. Using unique Codebook Correlation TechnologyTM our monitoring solutions compute all the possible symptoms for the discovered topology (updated in real-time), to quickly and accurately establish root cause.
For example, when a network error occurs, a whole series of events are generated, which will be reported by one or more monitoring tools. These symptoms produce a unique pattern, or signature, which is used by the Codebook to identify the actual root cause of all the reported symptoms.
The single root cause notification is the only alert that is created, which means more time spent resolving errors, rather than investigating the cause, by wading through a flood of alerts.
Our monitoring solutions are unobtrusive, agent-less, operate in real-time and require little or no manual intervention, customisation or rule building.
Consolidation of existing tools can be achieved via open integration creating a Manager-of-Managers platform. This reduces tool administration time and provides more symptoms for the Codebook to determine the root cause of incidents.
Monitoring can be extending to include business services or links to an existing service catalogue to provide notifications on the business service impact.
